Hosting services and domain names can be purchased
in many different combinations.
A little planning prior to setting
up your hosting account can avoid confusion and mistakes.
The notes provided below represent several considerations
as you plan your hosting and domain name purchase.
It’s universally agreed that keeping your domain
name separate from your hosting package purchase allows
more flexibility and safety. With that fact in mind here
are your choices for buying a domain name and hosting package
at DataWebPRO.
BUY A DOMAIN NAME:
You have choices on how and where your domain name is purchased.
For those new to web hosting, the organization you purchase
a domain name from is known as a “registrar”.
CHOICES:
a. Find your own registrar, sign up and purchase a domain
name. After your purchase visit DataWebPRO and select and
purchase your hosting package.
b. Use a registrar portal provided by DataWebPRO. DataWebPRO
is associated with various registrar services. We sell
domains through Enom, WildWest, and Namecheap with
more coming soon. Choose which registrar portal you wish
to
use and after your purchase, visit DataWebPRO and select
and purchase your hosting package.
c. Buy a domain name during the hosting package purchase
process. We offer this service as some customers demand
it, however we still recommend that you consider option “b”.
Domains selected during a hosting package purchase are
registered through Enom and you will still be able to control
and own your domain name.
NEVER buy a domain name through a hosting company where
the hosting company is the owner, and make sure that you
have a way to control the domain in the event you cancel
your hosting. This is true for all methods of domain name
purchase presented above.
If you have questions or need a consultation before your
domain name and/or hosting purchase, please submit a help
ticket to: http://support.dtw88.net and we will schedule
a free private consultation.
Thank you,
DataWebPRO Support.
